Default AU Type Rejected

Thought some of you guys might be interested in what's happening to the Australian Type R this year. The article talks about Honda Australia's problems when launching the current model psuedo ITR and the decision to axe it and replace it with a Type S.

The sales figure of 168 for three months covers all the model range. Type Rs only make up about 60-70 or so at best. The only good thing I see with this is the possibility that we might get to import the JDM spec legally!

Damn, talk about a rare breed. It sucks that you no longer get a domestic version though. But being that the latest domestic version was down on power, it's probably a move in the right direction.

They are a rare breed here, but Honda have themselves to blame after hyping up the launch of the new model only to have a different spec to what was expected from magazines and other media.

The other annoying part is that I was actually hoping that they would bring the Euro R locally, but it looks like that's out the window too.
