Bilstein Sport ?
Hey whats up everyone,
I have an 01 gsr and I wanna use the Bilstein Sport shocks on my car with H&R sport springs. Now in order for this to work on my gsr would i just need to change out my LCA's to R LCA's?

Doesn't Bilstein make any HD shocks for a GSR?

the bilstein hd model will bolt right into your car.
the bilstein sport model is R specific and you'd have to purchase the R lca's. i think they're $100/each, but i priced them a long time ago. don't mind soup ****, he doesn't know too much about these car thingamajiggies

The HDs are softer than the Sport though, and you are not getting the same thing as the ITR specific sport. If you're looking to improve your handling, you won't be too happy with the HD...at least I was disappointed.
Call Bilstein in SoCal and ask them about the difference between the 2 shock rates. Another option (which is more expensive) is to buy HDs and have them revalved for $55 each +tax and shipping. I took that route because I wanted to match high spring rates for track use.

I revalved them to match 450 and 500 lb/in springs. Feels very stiff!! But handles really good...I get no body roll whatsoever. Unfortunately they're not adjustable, but works well for now. Maybe in a few months I'll have the rears revalved higher.
Find out the rate of the H&R springs and have the shocks valving approximate that if you take that route. You might also want to mention the drop to the Bilstein techs.

I just ordered a set of Bilstein Sports for my R from http://www.shox.com - should be installing them saturday - can't wait. I'm gonna use them with the OEM ITR springs - watch for a review soon...
philly, looking forward to your opinion of the bilstein sports. my stockers are feeling a bit tired after 60k miles and plenty of autox and hpde activity. i daily drive my R and i don't have the $ or interest in high spring rate jdm coilovers.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead.
I just got a set of bilstein sports from a guy who ran them on a De Sol. I put them on a "98 coupe. The rear forks seemed to be wider than stock, so I filled the gap with washers.
Is this the reason you need ITR lower control arms? Are my bolts going to bend because of the washers?
I'm running them with Neuspeed Sofsport springs. I love the firm control without being overly harsh.
I did get way more drop than I was expecting though. Around 1.5inches.
What you did is probably okay, but the Bilstein SP (Sports) are ITR specific, and only fit the ITR rear lower control arms. If my memory serves correctly, I think they will also fit a certain version of the CRX LCA's as well...
