need help with H&R race spring on 90' accord
I had H&R racing springs installed on my 90' accord exr, it dropped it but didn't drop it right down, so that the tires are almost in the wheel well. The springs were to drop it 2 1/4 in the front and 2 in the rear. I saw a guy today, with a 90' accord exr, same H&R springs as me, but his was dumped!
Any idea's what could be wrong? Is there anything that I can tweek to drop it a little more?
thanks guys, hope you can help.

I dunno. Maybe they're the wrong springs. I have H&R springs and my car is too damn low. So low in fact that I just ordered new Eibachs and adjustable perches, which should be arriving today!
PS Morgan I've got the same H&Rs and have no clue what the rates are, but they are really soft compared to the ERSs you're running (and I'll be running soon).

sounds like a misnomer to me...... racing lowering springs doesn't sound right
to drop your car that low and still be a "race setup" would require high spring rates to keep the car from rubbing while cornering. This would then require revalved performance shocks to handle such a high spring rate. I know this doesn't answer your question totally but is somewhat relevant.
Is your friend running the same shocks/struts as you? There are many things that I can think of that could vary the height for you. I would suggest calling H&R for the best response though.
Dave...... you will be amazed at the difference the setup makes on your car. I am still trying to figure out what is the best setting for the track though. My car has a bit of an understeer problem. Don't know yet if it is from my lack of cornering knowledge or if the car is really pushing into the corner.

These are the specs on the springs.

We are both running stock 90' honda shocks and stuts, the stage 3 : race springs are 100% stiffer than stock springs, and they do sugest getting new socks for sure.
I will be getting some new shocks once I know that i am going to do the jdm h22a swap, but my cars an auto so I'm still collecting the different parts needed for the coversion.

i don't recommend removing them totally, they keep your suspension from bottoming out metal to metal and soak up some of that impact. I cut mine about halfway off. They do not matter in height though. they sit at the top of the shock/strut.
