I know the Accords of the 90's are known to have problems with the driver's side power window. Mine stopped working yesterday, but the thing is - it goes DOWN just fine, just not back UP. Does this mean the motor is in fact working? Should I ask the shop to diagnose whether its the motor?

If I do need to get the motor replaced, what am I looking at as far as cost? Thanks

 

i had same problems:

-grease/lube up the regulator and slide
-check voltage to make sure the motor is running
-if motor works, ull need a new switch....

5th gen accords have a 3rd wire (i think) on the master switch (most cars only have 2).....its a long complicated thing that i dont understand (cause im not an electrician)...so that when something goes wrong, u can only move the window down, but not up......if u know what ur doing, u can jump that wire and make it go back up.....

i needed a new switch (part that sits in the door panel w/ all 4 window controls and hole for the power mirror contol)......... it was an ongoing struggle for me for a while, so finally i said **** it and ordered a new one from honda......$120

 

its probably the switch! same thing happened to me. check that out first.
