Same as d16z6 except it's around 1540cc rounded down instead of 1590cc rounded up. Note: Those aren't exact numbers, but just general enough to show that ~50cc doesn't make much of a difference at all.

Great engine!!! I swaped it in to my daily dirver with the LSD tranny, still stock otherwise and I love it. Not much torque or hp, but gets me good gas milage and keeps up with the trafic. If I put an exhaust and a header on it, it would be even better. Good luck with the swap you will enjoy it. Ohh ya it revs very nicely just like a b16.

z6's are fine, I like mine, but the d15b has a more aggressive cam, talk to Bauelycivic for the details...

I have a d15z1, VX engine, and its good and very reliable but as far as power wise it's crap and not enough torque to open a pickle jar lol also it's a bitch to find good internal upgrades for a d15.i'm swapping it out very soon. but yeah great quality and very reliable engine

ok, the obd1 d15 has a couple of different variants. the first is basicaly the vtec-e version. it makes 110ps which is around 107 hp. the block is stamped d15b. the valve cover should say vtec-e, also the vtec soleniod is missing off the vtec-e version. the second is the usual d15b. its vtec stage 1. 1495 cc. the bottom end is the same as the d15z1 and the head is the p03 head, the same as the z6 head with a slighty hotter cam. it makes 130ps which is 128 hp. the 3 stage wasnt implimented until the 1996 production year in japan. the d15b vtec came in all the civic and del sol vti's.
