im debating whether to paint my front lip and stock sides by myself but theres a few things that concern me

1. will the off-the-counter paint (same color code as car) be as good as the paint they use at prof. paint shops.

2. price... DIY will be cheaper but will the quality be worth it?(if i did a good job)

3. whats a REASONABLE price a shop should charge to paint 3 peices(lip & 2 sides)...i already asked around some shops but it seems some are being way over priced...

*just want peoples opinions and thier exp with DIY and body shop paint...

 

1. Well if it's the same color code as the car, it would be for cars? If you take it to a shop they do inhouse mixtures or whatever so generally the inhouse is "better"..

2. Of course DIY is cheaper but not always better. Unless you're experienced/have help from experienced people(s) I would get it painted at a shop.
