Default why is integra type-R not released in the us?

someone probably has already asked this question before...
so why doesnt acura or honda release DC5 integra type-R in the US? knowing the integras in japan have 20 more horsepower (and cool body kits and accesories like the button ignition) makes me feel unsatisfied about the RSX type-s

Actually, isn't it 40 more horespower? Which makes 240hp. Or am I confusing RSX base vs RSX-S w/JDM R

base - k20a3 - 160hp
type-s - k20a2 - 200hp
type-r - k20a - 220hp
