TX: Auto-X event 4/25/04
Texas A&M Sports Car Club will be holding their last autocross of the semester on Sunday, April 25th.
COST
$10 for members, $15 for non-members.
MEMBERSHIP
If you are interested in becoming a member of TAMSCC the prices for membership are $15 a semester, $25 a year, $100 for lifetime.
The benefits of becoming a member are $5 discount at all events ( semester membership pays for itself and saves you $5if you do all 4 auto-x in a semester) a keychain, TAMSCC sticker, as well as a membership card that gives you a discount at some local Bryan/College Station businsesses such as NAPA, Cardoc and more!
WHAT TO BRING
1) car
2) insurance
3) helmet
4) trash bag/something to store valuables in while on track
5) food/water
6) tools
7) tire pressure guage
8) zip ties
TECH/RULES
main things to remember before coming to the auto-x so that you are not sent home for failing tech. RULES can be found here , http://tamscc.tamu.edu/autox/rules.html
1) make sure all lugnuts are attatched onto your car, lugnut must make 6 full rotations before being tightened to pass tech.
2) anything that is not bolted down inside the vehicle or part of the vehicle MUST be removed, including floormats, trash, radar detectors, clip on mirrors, loose cameras ( secure tripods are okay ) spare tire, sound system etc
3) make sure you have a battery tie down.
4) if you have a set of race tires make sure to test fit them before the event, and wheel spacers are not allowed if they cause your lugnut to become snug before 6 full rotations.

The course will be the same course that never saw action for Auto-X #3 due to rain out, should be a very long course over one mile in length. Sunday, April 25th, registration is open from 9-10AM.
