Default Need Help w/ Plugs/Wires for New Motor...

I have a Helm's, but I can't really find what I'm lookin for.

On the bottom of my motor, right around where the oil filter is, there are two cut wires sittting there. One is yellow w/ a red stripe, and the other I believe is a red wire w/ a dark blue stripe.

I am pretty sure the yellow/red one is from my oil pressure switch, which apparently had the connector ripped off. What is the other wire from?

Also, I can't find the plug for the sensor that is on the rear thermostat housing.

Where would I normally be able to find this connector?

Alrighty; got a chance to look through the Helm's and it's the ECT sensor connector I can't find, and it should be stemming off around where the TPS and ignition coil plug comes out. Hmmm.............

Still can't find much about the blue/red wire though!

The knock sensor! I bet that's it!

I believe i had a plug plugged into the knock sensor, but had to take it out b/c it actually went up to a sensor on the intake manifold. I never tried to find the one for the knock sensor.

And fastludeh22: we should! There's another guy or two on here that lives kinda close that i would like to meet up w/ sometime.

My motor's in the car now, w/ just a few more things to hook up. I gotta get the axles back together, and find my keys.......argh, i'm gonna have spent the better part of a year building this damn car, and I won't be able to test it out b/c I lost my keys......

Yellow wire was for oil pressure switch, red was for the knock sensor.

Last piece i haven't figured out yet: the ECT sensor on the thermostat housing doesn't have a plug. I checked the harness and there's no plug or wire.......hmmmm.

That sucks. See if you can just use some kind of wire conector to hook into the sensor.

So I was half right on those wires

Yeah, thanks for mentioning the knock sensor; it totally slipped my mind!

That's what I did w/ the knock sensor: I cut the connector from my old H22 harness and just spliced it onto the length of wire that was left.

If I could find the wires from the ECT, I would do the same.......but I can't find JACK!
