cleaning melted plastic of Stainless Steel?

hi guys, my Fireball muffler has melted some of my lower rear bumper and the plastic is stuck on the cannister......., it seems to be bonded to it pretty tight. Is there any cleaning solution that i can use to clean/get rid of the melted plastic of my shiny new muffler??

Heat the plastic/muffler with a heat gun (not a blow-dryer) And scrape away with something that wont scratch the muffler.

*edit* Damn spelling!

use a brass brush or brass putty knife(hard to find)... Remember that the stainless can be easily repolished as long as the metal isn't gouged/deeply scratched...
