Pirelli P7000's
205/45WR16 Pirelli P7000 SUPERSPORT

Would this be a good street tire for a set of 16" rota gt3's? Car is boosted @ 8psi, tein ss coilovers, probably run about a 2" drop.
Also, is tirerack.com the cheapest place? Right now a set of 4 would cost $350 shipped.
Thank you.

ive got P7000s on my 15" RNRs and ie used them for Roadracing with a B16B on a road racing track. They did real good on the track. So I would think they would be nice in general. Ive had the car in both wet/rain and dry and they handle nice!! I have no complaints on myP7000s. They are a nice tire. Ive had Advants and Falkens as well. the Advants were the best dry tires ive been on for dry! Falkens are real nice dry tires as well! i will prolly go back to Falken for track dry because of price and since they are a good tire as well!
Hope this helps out!

I have a set 205/45 16's on my 99 coupe. I haven't taken them out on the track but they have definelty made a noticeable difference a couple of times on the highway. Both instances involved making evasive manuvers to avoid debris and they performed much better than the stock Firestones. I've owned a couple of sets of Khumo 712's and I would put the 7000's at just a bit better than the Kuhmos.
i have the p7000s nice tires, reason i got them was i needed a good high performance tire with some snow ability also. however they do produce alot of road noise when cruising, really bad when you have your windows down, also during deceleration it will make a very loud houling sound.
other then that they great tires with nice traction in the rain and dry pavement.
got mines from tirerack think it was like 81 each for me

Did these replace the P700-Z's. I had a set of them that lasted forever and were really sticky, i think like a 120 treadwear. I can't find them anymore, just wondering if they were discontinued.
ive had those pirelli's on two sets of wheels now. they are really good. i like the wet and dry traction. they also do better than my stock tires in the snow. i recommend them highly

yea i can agree on the tread wear they are pretty hard compounds for a z rated tires.
i got some pretty bad camber from lowering my car and the tread wear is pretty even if i had something like kumhos im sure the inner shoulders would have been gone by now like my friends car.
glad im not the only one who notice the tire noise from these tires i kinda like the humming i have no radio
