Hey, is this anyone from R-speed ? Does anyone know this kid? I think I know of only two people on the Island in R-speed and this is not one of them. I'll pray for their families.
I, like most of us, like to take some chances on the public roads. We have to realize that sometimes (most of the time) it really isn't worth it. Please be careful. Just try and use common sense when driving fast.

That's precisely the problem...99% of immature teenage drivers have NO common sense... They think they know what they are doing ...anyone else get the feeling that this kid lifted off the throttle mid-turn and then lost control?!

Damn, thats why when i went to highschool you are NOT allowed to leave anytime during the school day unless you have a pass. Allowing kids to leave school grounds for lunch encourages them to race so they can be in class on time..blame the school and lack of driving skill for that one.

So your saying that since you turned 16 you were able to afford to pay for the car/gas/insurance completely by yourself? No money from anyone but your own job? If so good for you...You are one of very few.

what a shame, I have done such stupid things when I was young but was lucky enough to avoid such harsh consequences. I hope everyone remembers how too enjoy every day and to drive resposibly. what a tragedy, the other driver (of the van) is lucky he is alive. Poor kids families must be awestruck... those kids were so young too.

street racing iz some crazy ****... when to back down iz wat people should learn...i think i learned my lesson this past weekend when my car lost it on a 4 lane road...dyam accord couldn't handle the road's curve going 80 and swerved on my lane...as i eased off, he came even closer prompting me to turn the wheel...<bad mistake> my EG's tail steps off track and i go into a partially controlled drift...partially cause my tires were still cold and dew was on the road...*** yo i though i was gonna die...i had two dumbass *****s w/ me who were having the time of they're life...while i was on the wheel trying to keep da EG from a full pin...went on a 270 spin three times right then left then right..finally stopping backward which ate up my third gear....**** evrything happened so fokin fast...i should've backed off...i knew i was gonna beat dat **** any way..."why didn't i bak off?"

A agree, but lets not forget that some teenagers are responsible and don't drive recklessly. I have less than a year until I'm 20, I can't wait to leave all of the stereotypes of being a teen behind. Granted, most are true, but not for everyone.

It's such a shame though......

that is really sad.... i am a young itr owner and i never speed around turns just for that reason and when i do speed i make sure its on a straight road with no other cars so if something god forbid does happen im the only hurt but if i feel the need to speed i will go to the drag strip and i will not race other cars on the street because i dont want to be responsible for others death..thats just sad the driver would take that chance with 3 other people in his car

Dumbasses!

The owner of the other car should be charged with being an accessory to vehicular manslaughter. The parents of the ITR owner should be shot. But they will all probably get off with a slap on the wrist. What a waste.

that's messed up....i feel for the families!!

my kids will drive a yugo with a speed limiter setup to a till machine like those found in pinball machines, so that gas will cut out if they corner too hard...plus the kids will have tons of scca experiences!! cheap driving lessons in an enclosed enviornment!
