3M Glaze then wax? Quick question.
If I were to use 3M Perfect-It III Machine Glaze, would a non-carnuba wax bond to it? It has no fillers and is silicon free, so I dont see why it wouldn't. I have been using pure carnuba, but I would like to try some polymer waxes now. If anyone has an answer, please help a guy out here.
BTW, this 3M stuff is really good with a buffer.

I did a test spot, and no visible difference was noticable. The glaze took out some swirls and made the paint very clear. Then, when I waxed over it, the reflections seems to get even sharper and more defined.
I did it the other way around, and it seems to be the same.....
I think ill wax afterwards from now on, the 3M glaze is not really a glaze in the sense it doesnt have fillers. Its more of a polish. So I guess the real question is, do you wax before or after a polish like this?

A polymer sealant usually won't bond properly on top of a glaze because of all the oils that the glaze contains. I've heard that Poorboy's EX Sealant can go on top of a glaze. Other polymers such as Zaino, Klasse Sealant Glaze, Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection, and Wolfgang Paint Sealant need an appropriate cleaner (e.g. Klasse AIO or Wolfgang Pre-Wax Polish Cleaner) to bond properly to the paint.

Should I wax BEFORE I use machine glaze? Or would the machine glaze take off the wax, nullifying the whole thing? I really dont like the thought of washing and claying a car then not putting some kind of protectant on it. Or am I just missing the point, and the glaze IS the protectant. Sorry for all the questions, but my searches came up with nothing.
