what do you think about head milling?
im milling the head on my b16 for my 4th gen. .020". heard it can cause some confusion for lining up the timing marks on the cams. what other negative effets are there? i thought there was only 1 good effect = more compression.

Bah, do both, or, well, use a thinner HG and a mill like me. I had .040 off plus the y8 hg is a dif of .011 than the stock a6 hg, so a total of .051 off stock. Had no problems running with stock cam timing, or advanced/retarded timings.
Went from 9.1:1 CR to 10.1:1, once I get my p29 (d16a1) pistons it'l be around 12.1:1!! Wahoo, SOHC rules, haha.. Sorry, I'm battling a cold and a little dilusional.
Of course, I just realized you are talking about your b16 so things could be different, but I doubt it'd be all that much different. Check out the all motor forum, they have a lot of info on stuff like this.
