Here is what I bought a Sony 5.0 Megapixel p10. If you own one tell me how you like it or what you have heard about it. Also if you have pics post them. I will try to play with mine some tonight.

 

Click the camera to see a recent post with pics of my car, immediately buy a tripod and 128 mb memory stick, if you can foot the bill get the memory stick pro (should be clear) from sony which has a faster access time than the blue memory sticks.

I love the camera but its definately time to move on, its holding me back in so many ways.

I bought a tripod and a 256 mb memory stick. I really bought it because I am leaving to go to Thailand in five weeks and want to take some cool pics.

 

Pretty decent camera. First however let me ask you this.. What do you plan to do with your camera? If you plan on mostly internet pics and the ocasional 4x6 I would return it and save money. 5 megapixel is overkill and you won't notice it over the internet, a 2 megapixel will look the same (assuming the same lense). You will only see a difference in larger pictures 8x10+++. Buying a 5 mpx camera and using it for 4x6 and internet pics is like buying a 5.0 mustang and using it to commute to work and never driving over 55 mph. However if you wanted to buy a camera in the 4-5 megapixel range I would've chose plenty of different cameras over that one. That is assuming you won't make your pics big (which most people tend to not do) haven't been into cameras for awhile, but I would've gotten a Stylus 400 personally. The lenses are far superior to the non Karl Zeiss lense sony lenses (whic yours happens to be), plus they are waterproof Your camera is still nice though. Thing I like about that camera is that it's soooo easy to use, everything is layed out perfectly (at least for me). They aren't confusing like some Nikon cameras. have fun with it

Did you buy a memory stick pro? or the regular memory stick? Memory stick pro gives you unlimited movies A 256 megabyte stick will not give u a vast amount of pics for 5 mpx. If you know for a fact that some pics you will only put on the internet switch the mpx to about 1-2 and save yourself tons of space.

I didn't get the pro I got the 256 I bought for like $60.

 

I'm not down with Sony cameras for some odd reason; however it's 5mp it's gotta be cool

Just from playing with it some my favorite things are the option to record movies and the ease of use.

Haha... well I am going to visit my grandparents. I have to stay in Cambodia for eight days then I am off to Bangkok. I am looking to pic up some parts while there so maybe you can help me out I am looking forward mostly to going to see the temples and malls .

i heard these models have poor battery life. is this true?

 

I have the same camera and I love it so far. Does everything I need it to do. I'm no pro photographer by any stretch. Here's a couple of pics I took w/ it.

yes, i think hes got them spoom's...i looked on one of the spokes on the rim and it said spoon sports in yellow...unless its jus a sticker on rotas

i believe it is true...i was trippin when i started using the camera, and i'd notice that the battery drains pretty quickly...the only thing i hate about the camera
