Shock/Strut Question for a 5th gen 4door
I have a 97 ex 4 door. I have Sprint lowering springs that drop the car 3". I searched and it seems to point out that Tokicos are crap. Koni sounds good but will any of the shocks made (i.e. Tokico, Koni, KYB etc...) be able to handle a 3" drop on a heavy accord? I need some shocks/struts but dont wanna waste my money on a product thats going to bite the dust in a short amount of time. Im kind of on budget but i can save my money if its worth getting something that works. Do I need to buy a shock according to how low my car is, or will the same shock work with a 2" drop the same as a 3-4" drop? Thanks
We recently put tokico blues on a 4th gen with the same sprint springs that you are running. The ride is awesome. It was a shock to us too. The problem is that when you go that low. You really wont find a strut that is designed for that kind of drop. Blues are fairly cheap and so far are working great. I used to run Illuminas and was very happy with them but I know that they are not designed to go past 2 or 2.5 inch drop..good luck
koni sports take well to low drops. i have a pair of front koni sports new in box for sale if you're interested. adjustable dampening and height adjustable perch.
How long has that 4th gen been running those tokicos? I am getting a camber kit too but someone told me i need camber correction on all four wheels but i was under the assumption that i only need them on the front.
Will i need them on the back as well? How much u askin for those front konis turb0accrd?
