right now, im not getting the best gas mileage out of my b16 '91 CRX. Anyone know if its possible to put maybe an integra ls 5th gear or del sol (b16) 5th gear into my JDM b16 (2nd gen)? since i do a lot of highway travel, i really would like a lower geared 5th gear (right now im spinning about 4,000 rpm at 70 mph) which would help me save gas on the highway. any help would be appreciated! thanks a lot guys.

 

gezz, I can't really help you much but my d16 with si tranny spins about 2500 at 70 thats a pretty big diffrence.

 

I have heard of a lot of people using LS 5th gears, dunno about the Del Sol though. I just put up with it, but then again I also have a teg and a civic that aren't gas guzzlers.

 

my b16 eats gas as well. i have the s1 tranny and feel your pain on the highway. i try to stay from 60mph to 65mph to keep the rpm low, but my mpg is around 20 or less... SUCKS!

i don't know about the del sol gear, but im sure about the LS gear. thats the one everyone else uses...may as well just get that one...right?
