Steering wheel spacer for SRS wheel?
Does anyone know of something like this? I have a problem with my knees hitting the wheel, i have kinda long legs for beeing 5'11", and a 2-3" extension would be perfect. I'd like to be able to keep the stock SRS wheel as this is my daily driver, but if there's no way to make this work i will look into aftermarket steering wheels.
Wasn't there a whole thread about this? And most of the people who were 6'0"+ decided to use lower rails or something for the knee clearance.. I'm not sure very vague but I think it's been covered so time to sit back and wait for more responses..

Ok tried search one more time, this is the most useful info i came up with, not too promising

My primary problem is the knees hitting the steering wheel meaning i have to move my hands when going through sharp turns, as my knees are in the way. I would also prefer to get the wheel closer to me as i'm not really comfortable with the current position. I could move the seat closer so the reach for the wheel is better but then heel/toe is not possible
Lower rails would be better than what i have now, but not a perfect solution. I'm using a stock Recaro seat/rail combo btw.

You too?
I also have similar problems...
I like my OEM MOMO SRS steering wheel and don't want to change it, since it flows well with the interiour, are safe, and provide good grip - but I am also too tall to make the heal-toe technique work... my knees are in the way.
I have looked for a solution too this problem, and I have only thought of lower seat rails, but don't know where to get it.. and the seat is not really the problem. As you suggest - moving the steering wheel closer is the right way to go!

Well odviously this is an easy fix if you don't mind an aftermarket wheel.
Keeping SRS makes it not so easy. I do not know of any spacers for the OE wheel.
If you want to step up to an aftermarket seat like the Recaro SRD, which would be very similar to the stock ITR, you have all kinds of options.
The rails I bought for mounting mine (from wedge engineering) came with three diferent hight adjustable positions.
The OE rails would require quite a bit of fabricating to make shorter.
For the ultimate in low- position seating you should pick up a 'shell' type seat, carbon/kevlar body, not much padding, and the fixed position mounts that you can pretty much mount at any height you like.
Sorry, doesn't look like a cheap fix is in the cards.
