Default unamped speakers

so i have a alpine cda-7995 mp3/cd head unit and 4 infinity 6.5' speakers. the head unit needs to be amped to work but i was looking into getting a sub soon and i don't really wish to buy another amp. i have a 4 channel eclipse amp which is individually amping each speaker so i was looking for possible options on powering a 12 in sub.

I think it would be best to buy another amp,, From the stuff you have its not bad at all,, i can only imagine how you are going to hook it all together with only 1 amp.

You could also run all 4 speakers off 2 channels and then run the sub off of the other bridged channel. You can do this if you don't mind not having any fade. Or you could buy another amp.

exactly what he said, you will have no fade and all channels will have the same power...I tried this before...Wasnt too good...I tend to balance by sending my rear speakers more power than my fronts...It's annoying...

Another option that i did was run the front speakers on the stock radio, run the rears amped on 2 channels and run the subs on the other 2 channels...Before you hook up the subs, try that setup and see if thats something that would work for you...

I eventually went out and got a 4 channel for dirt cheap and a 2 channel for the subs...And it came out real nice...
