What kinda gas mileage are you guys seeing with your 2.0L (or close to) setups ?

I'm not exactly 2.0... but I'm seeing bad gas mileage thus far.... 24.1 MPG with a mix of regular driving and about 7 quarter mile runs. (92 octane)

Previously... I recorded a 24.4 MPG with no racing.

Anyone else ?

You do alot of highway driving ?

I cruise often at 70-80mph... 3500-4k rpm for about 30 miles a day....

 

stock B20 here... i finish a full tank (11.9 gal) at around 280 miles in the trip odo. and thats w/ a chipped ecu (dunno if it matters much) and S4C tranny. so roughly between 23-25 MPG.

 

Damn.... figures not looking good so far....

 

i drive alot at 60... i rarely drive on the highway and when i do its 70mph (4k)

 

i think the BEST i ever got in my 98 hatch....was like 200miles to a tank...that's with a bolt on ITR though.....haha

my 2. something should be done soon...and i'm hoping to get like 180 at least out of a tank

i got 36 mph with my b20tec with toda b's on a 2400 mile drive....at 85 mphs....


and that was with b16 tranny with jdm final drive!

That sounds impossible..... My stock d16z6 could only garner 32mpg at best.... and that's with a longer final drive.... with a b16 final drive at 85mph... you would be at like 4500 rpm or so....

What is that setup tuned with ?

 

i just filled up with 300 on the odomoter with 12 gallons... woo thats the first time since the fall ive broken 300 on a tank. (thats 25 mpg for those math impared people out there.)

during the spring summer im regurally at 25 or higher but man my mileage sux in the winter.

 

dunno if this helps but I get around 25-29 mpg on my H22a1, but then again I sort of have a lead foot.

 

I get about 26/32 with my non-VTEC B20Z/LS transmission in a 1989 HB. This is using a 1994 P75 ECU and basic bolt-ons (including Skunk2 intake manifold).

 

I got 30 on the highway good tuning and compression helps
