Preludes have a p16 plug on the passengers side left panel, below the radio. All you do is get a small wire and bend it to insert it on the plug, that will shorten the system and then you turn the ignition on and the engine light will blink. It will blink slow at first and then fast. Count the slow blinks and that is the first number, then count the fast ones and thats your second.

3 slow blinks
2 fast blinks

Code 32

It should be two blue plugs right under the driverside radio, you have to put ur head where the gas is and u'll see two plugs beside each other, both will have blue to them but one will have 2 wires while the other has 3 wires, the 2 wire plug is the one you want to test with a wire, that one is located away from the driverside...

You could go to Autozone or some auto shop like that and they will plug the DGM tester thing in there and get a code. Get an owners manual or repair manual and it will tell you what that code means. It happened to my 96 Lude and it turned out to be a faulty O2 sensor. It should be FREE to test.

Its on the passenger side, its not "under" the radio, its on the lower rightside of the radio, you have to remove that carpet cover and your will see a blue plug with another plug attached. Take the smaller plug out and thats it. I will try to take a pic when i get home 12 hours from now.

what type of wire? just any type? like speaker, copper...etc... Also is there any potential to short out the system by doing that?

I use just regular ol speaker wire, you cant shorten anything out, the adapter Honda sells is just the exact same thing. A plug with a looped wire. Your not really "shortening" anything, it just sends a signal to the ECU to release the code.
