90 CRX Si - Blew CV Joint/Axle boot on drivers side
Just wondering if I could get some advice on this
grease all over the wheel, i assume the boot is blown but i havn't had time to check.
Any replacement parts I should stay away from/advice?
Thanks

Unbolt the big hub bolt, drop the lower control arm from the strut fork, and you should be able to get the axle out by using a big screwdriver on the tranny side. It should pop right out. An axle change is more worth while to do than a cv joint, its about the same price and its easy to do.
to get it off you need a ball joint press...i would advise if you dont have one then go to kragen and rent it...they rent for free all you have to do is put a down payment...
thanks for the advice...Im going to check it out tonight, im pretty broke so I may be going with a universal boot that a friend of mine has, just try to replace. The axle should still be really good, just the boot exploded...at least I hope
