What about this Block...Input is very Welcome
Hey here is a block that i was just searching and found looks pretty impressive just would like some other imput on it. Heres a description....The block has custom 86mm bore Arias pistons with 13:1 compression, and Eagle rods which were upgraded to the larger, and stronger 3/8" shoulder bolts. The 1.8 GSR block was resleeved, balanced, blue printed and built with all new bearings by Golden Eagle and comes with their warranty. Also included is a factory Honda head gasket which was overbored to 86mm by Golden Eagle. The block is complete with the factory block girdle, windage tray, oil pickup and oil pan; new factory oil and water pumps; coolant neck and tube; crankshaft pulley; and new timing belt with tensioners and drive sprocket. There asking about 3k$ for it.
or what. With that kind of setup what would i have to do with my tranny to be able to handle it. And as for my head goes i am thinking about going with a portflow head that is complete. From retainers to Cams to cam gears. Thanks for any imput.

Sounds like a nice set up
As for the tranny, the biggest concern would be the clutch, and something with shorter gear ratio for quicker pick up like a YS1 (b16 tranny).
Portflow is also a very good company, with their springs you could run just about any cam you wanted and make hellish power with say JUN 3's on an 86mm bore. Not sure about their cams, haven't really heard anything about them.

yea port flow doesnt make any cams as far as i know. but yes i think portflow does really good work also. and that is a pretty nice set up, what size crank, or is just the stock gsr crank? and as far as the tranny goes. isnt ys1 trannies cable? thats what i always thought i knew. and i think this guy has a newer integra, id say go with a type r tranny and maybe a 4.7 final or something, but the set up sounds cool
price out all the work and add it up
it will be way over 3k
look at your whole (realistic) budget and then look at your goals of how fast you want to be. call a couple engine builders and see what their take is on your goal/budget and then go from there
remeber its not just the parts that make the whole, its the system of the parts working together and mated to each other properly that makes the best setup
