need some help with brakes
So my buddy has a '93 prelude SI and his brakes really suck... I'm afraid to heal&toe there so bad. I figure some new rotors, pads, stainless steel lines, and fluid would help alot. The car has 127k on it, does it need a caliper rebuild? What manufacters do you guys recomend for the stuff listed above and are there a place where I can get good deals. I know tirerack is helpfull but I want some of your opinions and any tips for the install would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

don't know for sure, but i think it's more than just the pads.
edit: he wants better performance, so I figured it'd be good to get better lines and rotors anyways.

upgrading the front brakes with a vtec set up is recommended. the vtecs have larger discs in the front for better braking. I would recommend Powerslot rotors and green stuff pads. Do not go for cross drilled rotors cause they are known to break. Upgrading the front calipers with NSX calipers is an option. AEM pads are made my NISSIN and are very good. I would recommend them as well!
Make sure that your master/slave cylinders are working correctly first. If his brakes suck, it could be a symptom of failure in the cylinders, and you wouldn't want to spend the time/money buying and installing new lines, pads, and rotors only to find out you shoulda just replaced something else. As for pads and rotor manufacturers, I would suggest honda oem. Upgrade to larger rotors if you're really pushing some serious power (upwards of 250), but if he's not on larger wheels, bigger rotors may present a problem. Braided lines won't offer any great performance difference.
