help with steering wheel.
ok i really need help with this one.my sister has a 99 honda civic hatch. One day we were going to a store to get her stereo fixed, and we had to take a u-turn and her steering went out.So we had played around with it , but it didnt come back,we did that before and it started working. So we opened the cover (the cover were you can take off the steering wheel)and there was a big bolt(my sister has a acura steering wheel),so wen tightened it,hoping it would fix the problem. It did.So i was wondering what can we do to make sure that this doesnt happen again. As you may notice it is very unsafe to be driving if your car keeps losing steering.please help!
is there anything that we could buy to prevent it from ever happening again? we're lazy, eventually we will get tired of tightening it.HELP!

The Honda manual also says to replace this... Go to your dealer and get a new nut...

$485.00 dollars. Dont quote me on that. Give your local Honda shop a call man.
Put on some lock-tite like Archidictus said and you are set.
