Default Sensor question

Yo guys,

After trying to install some nice Blue color vacuum lines in my car, i accidently broke a piece of a sensor that connects to a vacuum line(now the vacuum line can;t be connected to the sensor any more). My thought was to loop the vacuum line around the sensor and leave the sensor plugged in. My question is: Is there going to be an engine check light and if so can i bypass this sensor??

I've got a Prelude Si Turbo And it's the sensor next to the Map sensor. It has 1 plug and 2 vacuum line attached to it.

Can i bypass this sensor somehow, it's hard for me to find a new one over here in Europe.

Any info is welcome

so you snapped the nipple off that the vacume line would go onto? , well i did this once, and i go some small diameter metal tubing, and heated it after cutting is to length, and pressed it into the plastic where the old nipple was,, it works fine, and for added safty i put some rtv around the new metal nipple,

the sensor next to the map.. hmm i can't remeber, but i would fix it

I wish i could show you a picture, but the nipple belong to the sensor and it's plastic. It's broken of nearly inside the sensor, wich makes repairing it nearly impossible. I was hoping to bypass it, but then i might get a engine check.

Thnx for response Prelittlelude
