Getting EGR off!! 98 SH
3/8" inch ratchet, 6 inch ext. and 12mm deep socket.
once you remove it use carb cleaner to remove the carbon, ensure the plunger moves freely and reinstall.

dude what you need is a 1/4 drive short 12mm socket, a 6 inch 1/4 inch extension and either a 1/4 driver or use a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter if you need more leverage. the 1/4 short socket and 1/4 extension will give you the proper clearence you need

I'm 100% positvie 3/8" drive will fit. Sure 1/4" will work, but you definetly run the risk of breaking **** using the smaller drive.

whats the purpose of cleaning it out and how often is it suppost to be done, also if its never been clean what can it possibly do, theres alot of people that block it off
