wiring question
Your hatch harness and the Ex harness are virtually the same...save for the few wires that you would add to your harness to convert it into an Ex harness....so why not just add a few wires?

Just make sure to take your time and do it properly and you shouldn't have any problems, but if you feel really unsure about running a couple of wires maybe you should just change the harness... do what you feel most comfortable doing. Another option would be to ask someone with maybe a little more wiring experience to help you out and ensure that you add the wires correctly.
