Default H22 into 90 civic wagon

I aquired an H22 for really cheap. I'm considering putting it in my wagon.

I usually don't deal with older cars.. but can anyone give me advice on how I would go about putting it in?

What company makes mount kits for it? I don't see any on hasport.

The H22 is from a 99 Prelude. It's complete and I have everything.

My real concerns are mounting it (will it fit? Is there a kit out there), and how should I go about using the hydraulic clutch? My civic already has cable transmission, will that work with it ok?

I'm seriously considering this if there is a mount kit out there.

Any input is appreciated. No flames or any bullshit, I know how to do a swap and wire it in etc. I just need to know if there are any companies that can supply me with a mount kit and I *believe* I saw a cable to hydrualic clutch kit out there to, if anyone can point me in that direction.

Or should I look for an F22 transmission? Even though they are ****..... :/.

Thanks

First off, that would be a very cool transplant. I think the mounts will have to be custom done, as I don't know of any company that makes mounts for H-series into 88-91's. It will probably be a very tight fit in the engine bay as well. Hasport has a cable to hydraulic conversion kit, it's used for B-series, but you might be able to adapt it to the H22 tranny. I think other issues that you will encounter will be axles and the shifter and shift cables for the tranny.

Well this is for sure going to happen, I've seen them in CRX's.. so this shouldn't be too big. If I have to custom fab a mount or two I will.

Wiring will be cake for me, I'm skilled there...

Any input from anyone else?

Thanks

My wagon engine bay looks a lot smaller than my hatchback engine bay.. do some measurements first to be on the safe side. Good luck!

I've pm'd 2point2 about his swap & I asked him if he'd do it for me if I brought everything to him. He said no way, he's a cool guy but he'll tell ya its a PITA
to do-he explained it to me WOW, I don't think he'd repeat that swap9at least not for me). He did 'from scratch' axles lotsa weldin & ....

I checked with hasport last month on their h22 mount kit & theirs is finished. Theyre not confident they will release it cause its not up to their quality standards.

h22's are cheap by me, I'd love to do this.
namelessrb26 you'd be one pimp azz **** in my book if ya did this swap!

Cool dood! Place racing site is down right now or I'd check it out.

This car would be the greatest all time sleeper if I can shove the H in there. I can do all the wiring, that's not a problem. I have access to every cars wiring diagrams on mitchell. I'm planning on converting it to MPFI soon and putting another D15 into it if I can't get more info on the H swap. Might even drop a B18a1 into it since I'm being offered one for 100$ right now for the complete swap.. it's just got 130k on it. :/

Anyway, ya let me know if you get that door panel. No biggie if you dont. Also if you're interested, meanwhile I've fabric dyed the interior black and put a factory prelude CD player into it, gunmetal painted the rims, and got new front seats. I'm trying to make it nicer.. I can get a free paintjob for it soon if I buy the paint too. I think I'll just have it painted the same color.

Wagon love
