Why are my springs popping and is this Company good ?
Well i was wondering why when i drive it seems like my springs make a popping sound does not do it that much but some times ... and is this company good im buying a ITR lip from them .... NIN Autosport <---- good or not???
I kind of get the same problem. I have Skunk2 Coilovers (I will never, ever get coilovers again). When I jack up my car to change a tire or something, for a few weeks later the springs will pop. I think (hope) they are just settling slowly.
if they are popping constantly than something is up... the rubber ring that goes in the top hat and coushins the spring, is that in correctly? are you sure the strut rod nut is all the way down and torqued to spec.

if your springs are really short where the the shock cup dosent sit on the spring, this could happen. when u drive up or down a driveway and one side of the wheel comes off the ground, the spring falls down. once your car is leveled, the spring may not sit properly in the shock cup. as you drive, the spring may just pop back into place causing the popping noise. well this is what happened to me. dont know if where on the same page....
Yeah also when you jack it up to work on it have someone else slowly lower the car while you position the spring to make sure it sits in the top part properly. If you just drop it back down without checking to make sure everything is lined up it could sit with one side of the spring on the edge or outside instead of the whole spring being inside that piece (not sure what its called - you know what im talking about, it's the top part you took off your stock suspension) This would definately explain the "popping" you guys are talking about.
depending on the company there is a way to hold the strut rod. OEM requires an alen key in the top to hol the strut rod. meanwhile my friends TEIN coilovers have two flat spots ground down on opposite sides of the strut rod so you can put an open end or box wrench on there.
Correction. Sleeve coilovers are bad. The springs cant be matched to be ideal, its just a gut feeling what goes good with what. Like SS with AGX, ya know? Anywho, to my point which is actual threaded shock body coilovers are really nice. Street coilovers that is, track ones are probably too stiff for daily use.

yes they do, so do skunks but GC's utilize Konis re-valving when paried with custom rated GC, as Konis are some of the finest dampers besides Motons

What brand of springs do you have? If they aren't seated tightly in the lower mount cup, that can cause a popping noise from the spring slipping in and out of place.

Are you sure they are poping out, and its not the coils clanking
together when they are compressed.
Are they a progressive spring?
Honda makes a product called "silencer tubing" for the clanking
problem. Its basically just a rubber tubing that you place
around the coil where the tight wind begins.
I had that problem with my prokit and the tubing cured it.
