The wheels you are probabaly referring to is the Rota slipstream, Yes the Spoon is lighter, and if im not mistaken the Rota is actually around 11.9 lbs.
Im sure someone has the exact weights though

the konig heliums i got are pretty light, i was surprised when i picked one up with one hand. i dont know the weight of them, but they are light.
i dont know how true this is, but my buddy had some 3 peice 18" Volk Racing GT-U's and he said they were 12 lbs a peice. i never cared to look into actual weights.

15 inch Rota Slipstream's can be had for $400 a set, or less if you find them used. You won't find anything much lighter than real Spoon wheels though, and they're incredibly strong as well.

Racing Hart CP-035's are 3.5 kg I believe (hence the name), and so should be a tad lighter than the SW-388's, although I don't know what size of each was used when they were being named.

CP-035's are light as hell, but I think the 3.5 kg is for the 14's. I've held CP-035's right beside SW388's and the Spoon's seemed lighter, it could have been the tires though. The CP's had Azenis on them, but the Spoon's had some JDM performance tire on them.

Kendall, we all know the Azenis are reinforced with lead.
I think you're right about the sizing -- I do recall that it was a smaller sized wheel that the measurement was taken from on the CP. I actually think it might have been a 15 x 6" though. Either way, I'd venture to say that the SW is the stronger/more durable of the two, simply because of its thicker spokes, and with equal sizes, the CP is probably just about the same weight, if not even slightly heavier. I'm just picking nits though, because not even Ichishima himself could detect the effects of a few tenths of a kg per wheel.

Very good points indeed. Also note that the SW's have more of the weight concentrated toward the center of the wheel as compared with the CP's. This will minimize acceleration differences between the two. From a performance standpoint I wouldn't put either one above the other, however I believe that if a big enough pot hole was hit, the CP's would bend before the SW's.

Yes, I just located the official specs.
CP-035
15 x 6" (4x100 pattern) +45 -- 3.58 kg / 7.89 lbs.
15 x 6.5 (4x100 pattern) +45 -- 3.98 kg / 8.77 lbs. (SW's are indeed lighter)
BTW, it's hard to believe, but the same company that brings you the CP also offers these:

Bling Bling! (And yes, they're dubs)

I feel that Rotas make the best wheel for the money, there quailty is amazing and they have some of the freshest styles on the market. If you have the xtra loot to spend on SW's, Advans, Volks go ahead they are sexy wheels and thats where Rotas gets a lot of its styles/ideas from, but IMO they are not worth it!!
