Hi

I ordered TODA B with TODA valvesprings and want to use ti-retainers. TODA don't make retainers so which brand ist recommended für this setup?

I did a search but coudn't find a final answer.

i had the same issue when I got my TODA B. I just went with WEB retainers cause they were cheaper than all the others I wanted. That was 12,000 miles ago....still working fine.

Most people suggest POrtflow....but personally I think any TI retainer should do fine.

I use Portflow w/ my Toda setup, so far so good (knock on wood).

Id rather not have to knock on wood. If Toda doesnt make em, I am sure they dont for a reason.

I don't follow this reasoning at all. By "knock on wood" I acknowledge that titanium does gall over time, however I keep an eye on them and so far so good.

I'm gonna be puttin in some TI retainers myself. I've seen Stock Retainers snap and cause a shitload of mess.

It's true Titanium retainers gall over a period of time, but people make it sound like it will wear down super quick.

A good friend of mine had Skunk2 TI-retainers for over 40,000 miles and when he checked them, they were still perfectly fine after pushin the car hard. Barely, if not any wear was noticeable.

You'll be fine with TI retiainers.

I was thinking about maybe getting some skunk2 stage 1 cams or maybe some crower 401's but i have ITR valve springs and retainers....

what would you guys say would be the most aggressive cams i could run on ITR valve springs and retainers.. assuming i had an engine built for cams like that.

portflows don't fit tightly w/ the spring.

Get rocket or JG Engine Dynamics.

Wrong again.

Funny for someone who doesn't use their real name. Everybody knows who I am.

Robert Martin = Rocket.

SoCalude98 = ??

Back to useful info.

If you want, send me the toda springs and I'll tell you what retainer will work with it.
