What size rims and tires for 02 coupe
I just purchased a 02 coupe and I was wondering what works better for the coupe 18" or 19" rims? Also what tire size width can they go up to without much mods...245? I tried looking this up in past topics but found nothing.
prolly a 215/225 40 19 or 225 418. remeber the less tire, the easier the rim can be bent!!!!!! plus when u buy tires they give u a size that is closest to the stock size so u dont have to change the speedo and what not and take away the speed of the car or mess up the braking.is the car lowered?
It depends on why you are going with a low-profile setup. I have a 99 sedan with 215/45/17's. I tried some 225's and the outside of the rear tires rubbed against the body. I went with 17's for improved handling and a better look. Personally, I would never go any bigger because I have already bent a couple of them. Plus, the bigger the rim, the heavier the setup. When you get rims that big, you can really cause problems with your suspension like slower acceleration and longer braking. If you are doing it for looks, I like an 18" wheel. Anything bigger just starts to look ridiculous. Lowering your car by 1.5" will also make a big improvement in how it looks without going too big on the rims. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
