i just purchased a pair of recaro srd's and the width seems a little bigger than i expected. I sat in other JDM ITR Recaros and i was more snug in those than the SRD's i purchased. My question is, does the recaro SRD's come in different sizes? or is it that the SRD's are more wider than the JDM ITR ones? lmk.

I can't answer your question with numbers, but I've had both seats you're talking about and I felt the JDM Recaro's held better and felt more comfortable than the regular old SRD's. My friends said the same thing when sitting in them back to back. I know that doesn't help much. But it seemed that way to me also.

 

JDM recaros are narrower. I personally find the SRDs more comfortable, since I am over 200 lbs

 

I know for sure that the SRD is wider than the JDM ITR. I used to have an SRD and now have the JDM ITR. I am 5'9" and 170 lbs and it fits me perfectly except for my thighs. Although it is perfect for track, I'd say that they are a tad tight for daily driving. Tight enough that I would consider trading up or getting an SRD instead. Do they make that black w/ red stitch with black recaro words? I used to have a black recaro with black words.
