hi, heres the deal . . . .

a year ago i swapped a 1.5 ZC SOHC Vtec ( yes such a thing does exist) . . . . into the hatch . . . . and the ECU they shipped with the motor I think its like out of an automatic car . . . . or something I dont know . . . the motor red lines @ 7200 rpm and makes its max power 130ps @ 6600 rpms just like the D16Z6 . . . . however on my tach it revlimits @ 6500 rpms maybe 6600 @ the most . . . .

Theres still a check engine on from last year, that I' never bothered with . . . but the other day when I tried my friends 94 Si ECU out, it solved the check engine light and ran right . . . .

Are there any options for my ECU and does anyone know why it might be doing this . . . . . or do I simply need to get one of a D16?

the code it's throwing is probably for an auto tranny sensor you do not have. you should really just get a p28 and be done with it.

 

check out my ECU thread in my sig. and figure out with the CEL was for then fix it. if it still happens then get back to us

like was said, get the damn p28 (money ECU) and call it a day.

 

wow how agressive and full of themselves some people can be . . . . the CEL was a tps sensor foo's and that wasnt my main question . . . . it was just about the ZC ECU in general but regardless. . . . . so what of it now gurus?
