Default What does a bad cv joint sound like

I have this weird noise coming from somewhere in front of my car, can't tell where, I'm sort of leaning towards the right side though. Anyways, it only occurs at a certain rpm (no tach) when accelerating fast it isn't there, and when driving not accelerating at all it isn't there either. Doesn't occur when the clutch is in, or when it is in nuetruel only when driving.

if any one has any clue what this sound may be please let me Know

P.S I bought that belt dressing stuff and sprayed it on the alternater belt and the noise is still there

Thanks again

*click* *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* when you go around turns. Get under there and see if you have a ripped boot. If you do, you might as well change the axles because dirt and other debris has already gotten in there.

then you got bad axles

its either that or the guy holding you up for your new axles has no bullets in his gun

perhaps it is something in your tranny clicking since it is coming from the front of your car. if your were in the drivers seat it would appear to be coming from the right side, and it is only occuring when in gear and doesnt happen when turning corners ruling out the CV joint. maybe a body panel in the front right is causing some vibration, or anything up there could be lose making noise. get in there and check it out
