s2000's been out for about 4-5 years does anyone have approximation of time it'll renew its looks(i dunno the word for it but "renew" should be okay) i really want one but im afraid after i get it, a newer model will come out.

I don't want to go into it. Plus you must be really lazy. Anyways off the top of my head:

2.0 went to 2.2 liters.
sideskirts
front bumper
rear bumper
headlights
tail lights
small interior parts
rear speakers
etc etc.

both the 03&04 look quite similar if not look closely. the hardtop option in the 04 is pretty neat
unlike cars such as the accord, the redesigned model look complete different. i think u r right, i must be too lazy to do enough research and didnt notice the differences

honda usually "refreshes" its models halfway through the models lifetime. since the S just got refreshed this year, looks like honda might be coming out with a "new" S in another 4 years or so.

 

And I think it's not a bad thing if Honda waits another 4 years. Although I doubt it.

The current S2000 will look good for a long-time to come. And it may well be that Honda ends R&D on a small convertible sports car for a long time and evermore.

 

the 04 s2000 is not a "new design" its just a refresh, but not a complete MC (model change)

 

i seriously doubt honda will contiune to produce another s2000 with slight changes.

It was made for there 100th anniversary and probably will stop being made.

Besides they are not selling large amounts of them anyway. The new 04's are seriously laggin on sales.

I am talking about mass produced vehicles and it obvious Honda was not building cars in 1904.

 

Before ripping someone for making a post, know your facts. Many prototype automobiles were produced in the late 1890's and early 1900's. Obviously Honda didn't produce cars then, but others were trying.

I don't mean to flame but what does the 2 above statements have anything to do with you saying it was built for there 100th anniversary? Who's 100th anniversary?

 

I wasn't the one who said anything about it being built for the 100th. That was someone else. I was just making a point about automobiles being produced over 100 years ago.

The "still laughing" comment was in reference to him flaming the other kid. Obviously Honda wasn't producing cars then, and the 100th comment was some what misinformed, but there was no need to flame him.

I think when it says 'small interior parts,' it includes the cup holders and aluminum radio cover, and all the little stuff that I don't know about yet. (becuase I don't own an S2000 YET).

consider that the rest of the honda models get redesigned sooner than that...

The first car was assembled in 1904, but weren't mass produced until 1906.

The point was that Honda was obviously not making cars in 1906.

thank you....someone sees the point. just because ford has been around for 100 year doesn't mean he henry had the idea of the assembly line from day 1. this is what happens when people w/ try to take a loosely based statement, and turn it into a statement of fact.

 

I don't know if the S2000 will last another 4 years in the market. Its just not powerful enough compared to the new cars of today. Back in the day when the S2000 was released, we didn't have the Wrx, Sti, EVO, SRT-4, etc... Having 240hp was special back then. Granted 240hp isn't shabby at all, but when you can get that in your regular family sedan, it goes to show how much the automotive industry has evolved these past 4-5 years. I give the S2k another 2 years. Then Honda will either release a new version or just end production. Hopefully ending production .
