ok im putting my power steering back in my car, what do I have to look out for when doing this, and what type of fluid should i buy, ie. dot 3 . Or can I just buy regular power steering fluid?

 

use honda power steering fluid only. get it at the dealer.

 

they have some honda PS fluid at checkers.

 

are all power steering fluids the same?

 

all fluids are pretty much the same. They are all hydrolic fluid because of the systems being hydrolically based. However, I would recommend using the Honda power steering fluid because it has special additives in it to help protect their systems. It is all the same price, so why not buy the stuff made for Honda's. You do not have to get it at the Honda dealer, you can pick up PS fluid made for Honda's at any parts store.

 

last i checked u can get it at walmart
