bumper lights on with parking lights
ive seen this done on a few crx's and civics. does anybody know how they do it or know of any write ups on it? i know about the relays and stuff, but where do you find a light bulb socket that fits 1157 bulbs
thanx

::::Sorry I don't remember the link. I just copied this to my notepad::::
Get a socket for a double filiment bulb (1157) at any auto parts store.
You'll need to make an extra notch in your bumper light housing so the socket will fit.
hook the wire for the brighter element to your factory bumper light wire, and hook the other wire to the wire for the corner light

So wiring it this way makes it stay on constantly (with the corner light) with the dimmer of the two and blinks w/ the brighter signal, correct?

So can that be fixed by using that Run-About adjustable flasher?

the front turn signal/marker light socket from 92-95 civic will fit right into the 88-91 civic/crx turn signal (bumper) lens allowing the use of a 1157 bulb
hey guys, i ended up sitting down and figuring out the mod myself. i had a friend with a recked rex and i asked him to use his brake light sockets, you know the one with the dual filliment 1157 bulbs. so i got that and had to knock down the tabs on the socket to make it fit the houseing.
next i took the filliment that is dimmer(i think its a red wire) and ran it up to the corner light that stays on and doesn't blink and soldered it in. I took the hot side of the brighter fillment(i think its green) and wired it into the orginial bumper light socket buy cutting it off and soldering it to the hot side. then used the third wire off the new socket, which is ground, and soldered it to the other wire from the orginal bumper light. this acts as the ground for both the turn signal and parking light. and it worked like a charm. theres the same amount of resistance in the circuit because you didn't cut out the bumper light so theres no hyper blink and the bumper light comes on with the parking lights, i love it. if you have any questions fell free to ask me.
ps oneword of advice, if your going to do this, take the time to take the bumper off, its makes alot easier to work, and i accidently ran my wire around the one bumper mount on the passanger side so its kinda teathered to the car, i have to fix it when i get a chance

yes...efits into lens without modification to socket or lens...extra wiring is necessary
