i installed a 5" tach on my EK and im pretty sure i connected the power wire to the wrong source the maual said not to connect directly to the ingnition.. its not too big of a prob but i just wanted to make sure thats what happend.. the shift light doesnt want to come on, and when it hits the shift point the battery light shines bright.. any input would be appreciated.

 

you def. crossed the two, check your wiring
