Default MAP SENSOR

what does it look like and where is it located??how can i tell if my map sensor is bad

It is connected to the round white plug:

the mass air flow sensor tells the computer how much
air is passing through the intake
so that it can ajust the amount of fuel going in.

Too bad its not a mass air flow sensor.

Most Pressure sensors operate on 5 volts from the ECU and return a voltage based on pressure(vacuum) applied to the sensor. Best way to test a MAP sensor in your situation is using a DVOM. The procedure for testing goes as follows:
1. turn the ignition on(engine off)
2. Measure the voltage of the sensor output.
3. using a hand operated vacuum pump, apply vacuum to the sensor

A good sensor should change voltage in relation to the applied vacuum. If the signal does not change or the values are out of specs, then replace it.
