Energy Suspension for inserts

Jimfab.com for complete mounts (adds a lot of vibration in the car, but keeps that sucker still...)

again i only saw mount replacment inserts for the lower torque mounts lol. i want the mount inserts for the 2 UPPER mounts. timing belt side mount and upper tranny mount.

if i cant find them is there some kind of strong silicone i can inject into the mounts them selves lol? like window weld or something?

Call ES... they do not sell the upper 2 inserts... neither does prothane if I remember correctly..

But when I called Energy Suspension they said that they were producing those mounts for another company... which by now should be selling them...

call e.s. for more info.

Just F.Y.I. the reason no one makes the inserts for those mounts is (according to the rep I talked to at energy suspension) they do nothing once the other three are installed. They would be for peace of mind only.

I don't know how true or not that is... but that's what he said.

If someone else has the link to the site I found this info on please post it. I can't remember where it was. Anyways.....

Get 3m window paste. It's basicaly a liquid polyurethane. Fill in the gaps with this stuff and let it dry. You will have a new solid mount.

They sell it at auto parts stores. It's used for sticking windows in cars.

i found 2 types of 3M window weld. the one i think looked like the correct stuff is called 3M Window-Weld Super Fast Urethane: this can be found here:http://shop.store.yahoo.com/le....html

and the other is called 3M Window-Weld™ Resealant this can be found here: http://www.handsontools.com/st...=3950

i think the first one is the right stuff hence the name urthane lol. if it is then i think more people shoudl know about this as a alternative to buying expensive mounts or inserts since a tube is only abouty 9.99 and will fill ALL 5 mounts

seems like making your own mounts stiffer with the goo would be the best option.

exactly what i was thinking. not as bling becasue you cant se the GOO but in return yuo get a much more solid functional mount that will prevent wheel hop much better which is the culprit of most broken axels at the track.

For those that have done the polyurethane insert or filling, please let me know how it work. This look looks like it's simply the best solution to not buying $600 mounts.

I'd say doing them yourself is the cheapest... not the best option...

when i did the inserts... it still sucked till I replaced 2 of the stock mounts that were no good... the inserts just brace the stock mount... if the stock mounts are shot then it's not gunna do what it should by just slapping in inserts or filling it with liquid urathane...

I'm sure it'll help and work for a while... but with a torn or worn core the top material is just gunna get shaken loose eventually.

Also be sure to install the mounts in the proper order... if they go in even slightly crooked the shaking can be pretty rediculous...

I think a LOT of the people who complain about the shakiness of mounts are not properly installed... because mine used to shake like all hell... both when they weren't in right and when the car was idling or running poorly... but when it's in tune and they're in right the vibrations in the cabin are pretty minimal.

Good luck and post the results.

that's true but 10 buck plus some time upgrade should get you through hard time during the swap..
