Default h22 redline kicking in at 6800????

I had just got my gauges hookedup, and realized that my car is shutting down at 6800-7000 rpm this is the normal redline right, i think but my friend said u should b able to push like 7500 or more out of it.... also it has a loss of power and sucks gas.....could this all be because when i eliminated the cat (put a test pipe in), and did not hook up an o2 Simulator? thats what my buddy thinks, i guess im going to install it this week, hoping for the power to gain back!...any other ideas...the computer im running is a p13, my friend also recommended gettin a chipped p28 ...help anyone?...recomendations...

the otwo has no bearing effect on WOT
The otwo sensor is used in idle and light driving (driving around town with light throttle use)
When you go WOT
The ECU goes into a open loop system that read preset fuel maps

what maybe cause your low rev limiter:
poor grounds
dizzy taking a ****
bad ecu

If your H22 cuts off at 6800RPM it means it's in "limp mode". From my experience with VTEC Preludes (i had a 94 and a 95) this will happen any time you get a check engine light. It's just a safety feature, not letting you rev past that point because something is wrong. It could be a bad sensor, a lose wire, etc.... Did yout check if it's throwing any codes?

I wouldn't say it happens any time you get a CEL. Most of us get EGR and I know mine doesn't go into limp mode.

It matters what the codes are
Some codes with throw the motor into limp
Some will not

I thought you needed the O2 to be reading correctly or you'll get for **** gas mileage, and run limp(?).

Borrow or pick-up an 02 sensor or the 02 trickster. And definitely check your CEL's...that's the first thing you should do for troubleshooting anyways.
