Depending on your state's emissions, the best "stock" ECU would be an OBD1 P72 GSR ECU. With that you will need an OBD2B to OBD1 adapter which you can easily get for less than $100 shipped. The only ECU that would be plug and play with your harness is 00-01 P72 which has an immobilizer built in.

get a USDM P72 though cause i already have the swap that ur about to do and my JDM P72 has a speed cut a 120mph which sucks for highway racing so im in the process right now myself looking to get a new ECU.
