Default Anyone interested in those JDM side mirrors?

I ran into a guy recently who could get his hands on those JDM blue tinted side mirrors...I noticed a set was on Ebay going for like $150? Is that what these go for?

Just talking to him before, it seemed theyd be cheaper than that. Knowing you all are JDM freaks, Im going to try and contact him about it and see what we can get going. Id have to buy all these mirrors up myself first most likely, so Im just trying to guage some interest.

Yay or Nay?

As far as I know no one here has figured out how to get them to work correctly. Do a search, this was somewhat discussed recently.

Get them to work? I dont mean the power folding mirrors, I mean just the blue tinted glass. Is there a problem with the adjustment of the glass from the cabin or something?

hmm.. I didn't realize that they had the blue tint on the JDM R...

Speaking of blue tint side mirrors, I get a good laugh at this product description from Spoon's official Web site: "Second, since it is coloring blue, the light of another of a succession vehicle is not dazzling, either."

Now that is JDM!!

So is the blue to make the car behind you look ugly?

Actuall the Spoon Mirror Lenses are really nice they have a blue tint like a BMW's and have a bit more of a curve so you have more area of view in the mirrors.

Yep, these are like the spoon mirrors, with the blue tint.

But the question is do they display the cars in the mirrors properly for the USDM market? Meaning, are the mirrors good to use on LHD cars or were they specifically designed for the JDM market?

Hehe, Japanese English translations can be funny, that's how "All your base are belong to us" started

Hmmm good question.

I know a bunch of guys all use these mirrors on their Subarus, and I would assume it will be fine. But Ill find that out.

The reason why I asked this quesiton was, the JDM Civic typeR mirros give you a messed up view when used on USDM EK Civic's. (Yes, I had those on my EK.) The biggest problem being the angle at which the mirrors could be adjusted was all whack.

I wouldn't be surprised if the JDM Integra mirrors are messed up (designed for RHD) also.
