back to the computer (from Summit Point).
Congrats on passing your first SCCA competition school. Did they waive you?
I'll let you go into details since I was working on Spec RX-7s all weekend (well, actually they ran well so I pretty much just sat around).

Yes Pat got his waiver. Woo Hoo! I will let him tell you of the AWESOME pass he made in the practice starts and the happenings of the 5 lap race. Great job again Pat.

Yeah, I got my 2nd school waived.
I did a "little" writeup on my web site at http://www.hmp.net/slowse-r/raSEcaR/2001_results.html
The Cliff's Notes version: Got 2nd school waived despite not reading all the directions on the written GCR take-home test (
) and going through a red flag Sunday (
). Made an awesome pass on the 2nd practice start that had the chief steward fuming and instructors cheering. Scraped paint with a stock car right after that but continued to make the 3rd practice start and finish the 5-lap race while hasseling a DuPont Motorsports BMW (the same one Rob Hines drove in the Speedvision Touring Car championship).
All this in a 163,000-mile, street-legal Sentra SE-R!!
"Big Bore Sentra" is the nickname fellow SE-R pilot Gordon Patterson and I gave our cars (121 c.i. Japanese econoboxes) 'cause we were in the "big bore" group.
