but if Iam spinning 26x8x15 wouldnt the 8.7x25x13 spin even harder?

Iam just trying to figure out why I could spin 26's so easy..

here is a video to show the tire spin.

the extra sidewall will help the car bite harder. I would think the results will be close to the 26's but some extra throttle modulation maybe in order to obtain traction.

sorry to thread jack but i need help in find a wheel/slick size combo for my setup.

95 civic with ITR 5 lug brakes. because of the brakes i cant go below 15in wheels. so i need help in finding a 15in wheel that is wide enough to mount slicks to and also finding a good size slick as well.. i dont know much about slick sizes so any help would be much appreciated

i think this is a matter of learning to modulate the throttle and not worry about what the slicks are doin. with those kinda #s i would expect u to smoke about any slick out there thats offered. just gotta practice modulation of the throttle.

O.k. It's time for me to step up to the plate here, I have guy's running my 8.7/25-13 with 438 torque to the wheels and they are getting real close on moving up in size. The 8.7/25-13 has more of a sidewall that helps bite the track better, the 26" has less of a sidewall and less tracktion but what saves my M&H 26-15 is the compound if you do not have the right compound you lose. Now I have a slick size in a 14" and it's called the 9/25.5-14 and I know it's a 14" but sometime you need to make change to make some noise. I have a racer that is going to run that slick and putting down 438 torque to the wheels so I will let you guy's know how the slicks do. This slick back in the hay days was a hot one but nobody cares about it anymore I do not no why LOL. So the best slick size you can have on your car right now is the 8.7/25-13 for your set up and if you do not post a better time 99Hybrid_Hatch I WILL TAKE THEM BACK, don't get me wrong I am not mad this is a GOOOOOOOOD thing I believe in my product and I will stand behind it.

GOOD LUCK and have a ( SAFE ) 2004 season

Damn John, funny you bring up that slick size...the 25.5x14x9. I have a set of those sitting around from my domestic days. Maybe I will try to pick up a beater set of 14" rims and try them out with my new engine which will hopefully be making in the 375 tq range.
