what is 99-up accord type-r engine code(in japan) and spec???
i'm trying to buy 93-97 accord ex coupe and do engine swap...but i'm NOT trying to heavy mods on the car.... just want to make it as daily drive which means i want to keep A/C, Power Steering Wheel, no problem with check engine light and pass the emission without hassel.... i know H22A will fit well on accord...but is it hassel to make A/C and Power Steering Wheel work??? i mean do i have to re-piping the A/C line??? and if i swap H22A motor, what yr, model(accord or prelude), and kind of header and exhaust sys. should i get in order to make it fit perfectly(keep stock or aftermarket catalytic converter to pass emssion)??
i know one company or the guys are selling 99 and up accord type-r engine(OBDII)...
and i know that 93-95 are OBDI and 96-up are OBDII.. am i right????

what is my best choice or options???? what yr of car... which engine....
what company would you guys recommend to buy parts and engine??
any pics for who keep the A/C and Power Steering or nice swap
what is the main prob. after engine swap on accord???

I honestly dont know if they made a type-r accord from 99+...i would just stick with the idea of the H22 especially for reliability..

 

the accord type-r came with a variant of the h22. i think it may have been the h22a7, but i'm not sure.

~210 or 220hp @7200 rpm (can't remember)
159lb-ft @ 6700 rpm
compression ratio = 11.0:1
bore x stroke = 87.0mm x 90.7mm

installation issues are the same as all other h22s... IMO, it wouldn't be worth the price (compared to the h22 from a prelude), not to mention it would be hard to find.
