Default Ehhh, tried search but still no answer for DPFI to MPFI...

I've read about 5 pages of searched archives for MPFI, but no luck. Sooo, I have this leftover plug on my harness (besides the fast idle one that's supposed to be leftover, I hope), it's a white plug and is rectangular, and I also have two hoses (or one, I can't remember) coming from the underneath of my Si intake manifold. I have no clue on where these go, and also what looks to be a ground from the harness is still sitting with no home to go to. Help would be nice, I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. And does anyone have a throttle cable bracket that I can buy?

Does it terminate near the under hood fuse box? when I did my first mpfi swap I wasn't paying attention and grounded what I thought was a ground lead and it turned out to be the alternator output lead (supposed to go into the fuse box)
Almost fried my alternator!!

if you used the DX harness, you will have one connector left over that went to the Tandem Valve on the DX - white round 2 wire connector with orange and black/yellow wires - you don't need it - the hoses on the Si intake manifold, are they on the driver's side end? if so, they are vacuum for the fast idle control valve, which doesn't need to be connected - what color are wires from your left over connector?

Yep, I hope you used the DX harness.. and I take it your intake has the Fast Idle still on, that is not needed as well.

I can help but pics would help us more.

Yes I did use my original DX harness. Don't know why I wouldn't. Here are some pictures to help you veterans answer my questions.

What is this plug and where does it exactly plug into. It's located behind my intake manifold along with the other plugs. The wire colors are blue and black/yellow

This is supposed to be the leftover tandem valve plug I'm guessing right? What are the wire colors for it exactly, incase I mixed it up with the other plugs.

And these two hoses I have no idea where they go. I guessed that they are supposed to be connected together. One is coming from the bottom side of the intake manifold, and one is coming from the block out of this round black thing.

Where does this ground go? It's located kinda by my passenger shock tower. I'm pretty sure it's not the one that goes into the fuse box, since it's not long enough to reach up there, and I already put that one in.

Did I put the correct (only one that makes sense, but double-checking for safety) ground on my starter? It's got a rubber cover to it.

I can't remember where this ground came off of, were exactly does it go?

And where does this plug goto. It's on the same harness as my fan plugs. It's bothering me, because I can't seem to figure out what it went to.

Ok I cant help you with any of the grounds sorry.

The round plug, if the wire is long and is kinda straight, in near the center of the bay its then tandem plug.

The squarish plug is off the intake right? Probably the FITV Fast Idle Thermal Valve.

Those hoses. take off the 180 degree bend off the car. Then take the other coming from the bottom of the intake, and plug it into the upper right side on that black box you got your finger pictured on.

Theres are three plugs you will have left over, taken from Hcivic88's site:

That is not including the FITV though. So four you can say.

Fast Idle thermo valve-not used

This is for your PCV system. It should come out of the black can, through a PCV Valve, and into the front of the intake manifold.

Look carefully just to the right of the terminal on the wire in this picture, and you will see a 10mm headed bolt screwed into the thermostat housing. That terminal goes under that bolt head

Did I put the correct (only one that makes sense, but double-checking for safety) ground on my starter? It's got a rubber cover to it.

Thats in the right place, but its not a ground. That is live 12 volts directly from the battery (no fuse).

I can't remember where this ground came off of, were exactly does it go?

That ground bolts to the tranny, on the same bracket that holds your clutch cable.

Got me on this one. Don't recognize it.

So then the Fast Idle Thermo Valve plug and the Tandem Valve plug are NOT used at all? I thought only the Tandem Valve isn't used?

Correct. The tandem was on the DX which is not used any more, and the FITV is not needed.

Ahhhhh, OK! Not I get it then, there are FOUR plugs not used. All this time I thought it was THREE because of that pic up there. Alright then, I'll get cracka lackin on my car this morning then. So then those two hoses are actually suppose to be one hose right? Hopefully with all the help it starts. Just that I have to wait til next Thursday for my throttle cable bracket from Honda (damn you Honda). Grrrrr, I wan't to drive it now so I can break in my clutch for track day...

Yes, take the old 180 degree bend thats in the black box out, and use the one connected to the intake already.

It's ALIVE! It's finally ALIVE! Whew, feels good. idles fine, but can't drive it yet because I don't have a throttle cable bracket yet. Feels good after about a month! No CELs either nor codes. Now all I think I need to do is adjust the timing a bit. Gotta get her broken in for race day at the track. Well, thanks for all the people who replied and answered my questions!
