Default Integra forum suggestion.....

I browse through this board quite a bit. Meaning I usually read every thread if the topic title interests me.

Now one thing I notice is there is way too much of the same topic being discussed. Yes, I know its tough to handle that but everytime someone posts "its been talked about", or "your a newb", or anything useless it just adds the stupidity of the post. Why not just let the post fall to the 2nd page or atleast send the guy a PM instead of just ranting on the page. Maybe JUST ONE guy posts (search its been covered). Instead of 12 guys in a row. Which is just waste of time, and a waste of us reading it because it went to the top of the page.

Letting them learn by not answering their questions would help. Maybe they will realize how much of an idiot they are by their question. Chances are half of them just post it and forget about it anyway (so many 3 post members).

About half the posts on the 1st page are ridiculous. Not even worth reading, now if people could just give out info instead of just saying newb it would help these guys. I know I didn't search a lot when I first got on the site, remember when you were a newb aswell. Instead I just posted and learned as I went. Answer the god damn questions they ask if they make sense, isn't that what the site is for. If you don't want to answer then just leave it alone. Its not that hard. I know a few members that have a few hundred posts on just "search" "i ran this 1/4 time" "its been discussed", etc. Those members I don't even read their posts....

Lets try and keep the knowledgable on board, the idiots on the 2nd page and maybe try to answer some of the newb questions if we can. And if you don't WANT TO then by all means DON'T. Instead of adding your garbage.

Now I understand I am gonna get flamed for some of this. But I don't care. Im just out to help out other guys with questions.

by telling someone to search, you're actually doing them a great favor. as far as repeated posting of the same things such as "search n00b," everyone knows that repitition is one of the best ways to learn things . I also think that if you're going to flame someone, dont just insult them and leave it at that, help the person solve their problem because thats what this board is for.

You ARE sometimes helping by saying "Go search"

Other times your being an *******. Its important to realzie that there is a nice way to tell people to do stuff - not everyone has been here for a long time.

So guys, also try to be a little bit less condesending when you do tell some ppl to search - you never know, they might be looking for a different answer than what they found (in which case they should point that out).

Help me Help you.

noobs.

Its tough to search and find the "exact" thing you want. You can find things related to broden your knowledge but its tough to find a thread that answers your own exact question. Plus if anything new came out or new info was spread he would want to get on that.

However, lots of the questions are tough to answer and are common sense. Let those drop off the page, or just ONE person say search. There really is no need for 12 people to say search with a mad face or a thumbs down. It doesn't do anything for the person. If they don't search, then tough **** for them. Just let their post dissapear.

I just think answering more questions (meaning the knowledgable) is what we should all try doing. Help them out more instead of giving stupid *** answers.

i agree...instead of just telling members to "search" why dont we tel them excatly what to search for...i remember back ago i had a question but i tried to search but it seemed like i could not find the answer using search...so i posted and a member, kendall, did excatly what i am talking about...instead of just telling me to search he gave me some ideas on what to search for...and it worked...(thanks kendall for your help)...i think that honda-tech is a great site to learn and ask questions about your car...instead of flaming why dont we help eachother out like a community!!!

I also think an FAQ sticky thread would help the problem tremendously. I see most of the other forums have one now, I think the Integra forum needs one
